I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have over 10 years of experience researching eating disorders, weight stigma, suicide prevention, and emotion regulation. I also have specialized training in LGBTQ+ health disparities. I use they/them/theirs pronouns.
I graduated with my PhD in psychological clinical science at North Dakota State University under the mentorship of Dr. Katie Gordon. After graduation, I completed a clinical postdoctoral fellowship at the National Alliance for Eating Disorders‘ Psychological Services. I then moved to California to complete a research postdoctoral fellowship at San Diego State University in the Body Image, Sexuality, & Health Lab.
Recently I pivoted my skills to the realm of social media Trust & Safety. At TikTok, I use my clinical and research expertise on eating disorders to craft policy surrounding topics such as disordered eating and body image. I work in the Suicide, Self-Harm, & Dangerous Acts team, so I also contribute to policy on topics such as suicide prevention, non-suicidal self-injury, dangerous behaviors, and mental health at-large.
